MOVING GONE BAD

People get attached to things and home is one such place that everyone carries in their heart. Sometimes, the rented place is the one where you make memories and it aches when you move out of that particular place. Alan also loved the place where he lived with his 3 roommates. An era spent at the rented place, he was attached to the house. But, as life moves on, he also proceeded to shift to a place that is quieter and is near to his workplace.

The area he shifted in, had a huge park in front of the apartment and it was a really peaceful place to live. He found the apartment through the online portals and it was so cheap that he was able to save and make investments. One of his roommates shifted to some other place but, the other 2 stayed with him in this new apartment. All of them knew each other from college and were pretty close to one another. The problem with the place was that it was on the first floor and there were no lights in the staircase. Only the lights coming from the windows of the apartment could help a person to see the stairs. It was scary because they never saw anyone going up the stairs or coming down even though it was a 4 story building. 

Things were going fine before he visited his friend Henry. He went to play a game of cricket near Henry's house but it got late when he was reaching back. It was 6 in the evening and it was winter, which is why the sky turned almost black. He was crossing by the park when he heard some screams from the park, giving him chills. The screams were at a distance and were reaching closer. Before Alan knew, he was already sprinting towards his building. Sweating and with wide eyes opened he reached to his door and started banging it. Inside the apartment, there was only one of his roommates, Rhody. Rhody opened the door and saw Alan standing, he caught him by his shirt and pulled him inside and immediately locked the door, saying "We are leaving this place right now!"

Alan was shocked by seeing Rhody's reaction. For a moment, he just forgot his fear and asked his roommate "What happened? You look worried".

Rhody: Listen, I am not asking you, I am telling you, we are leaving now! (while packing his clothes and other necessary material)

Alan: Did you hear something?

Rhody: No! (in a loud and firm manner, while looking confused at Alan)

Alan: But, I did. There was a loud scream in the park which was approaching me.

He explained the situation to Rhody. He left packing and sat quietly with a worried face. He wanted to call his parents but there was no signal in the devices of both. While Rhody was sitting quietly, Alan asked him, "Why did you pull me in, catching my shirt?". "Let Andrew come first, then I'll tell you", Rhody replied in a shaking voice (Andrew was the third roommate who had not returned to the apartment from his office). After an hour of waiting, Andrew came to the apartment. This time Alan opened the door and pulled Andrew the same way Rhody did. Both started discussing moving from the place to which the third person looked with confusion asking why they should move out. They all were discussing the events that took place and it was a blackout. All of them turned on their flashlights and saw many yellow lights moving near the adjacent window to the front door. Andrew moved near the window and saw people with black wizard robes moving downstairs with candles in their hands. He was about to turn when he saw a woman being taken by 4 of them. It was one of the scariest moments of his life. He turned to both of them and asked them to pack their bags in a very low voice and told both of them to keep their voices as low as possible.

They packed their bags and waited for an hour. Rhody and Alan were afraid to open the door and asked Andrew to open the door. Andrew opened the door and told both of them to run. There was an iron door to the staircase that usually remained open but, was closed. They were about to go back to their apartment when they started hearing some whispering sound that was coming downstairs. So, they decided to stay under the staircase which had sufficient space. The voice was approaching closer and closer and Alan was stepping backward in that little space. Alan disappeared behind the door under the staircase to which Rhody and Andrew followed. The door under the staircase led to a mansion that was dark and saw a cult being practiced there. All of them were scared to death while hiding in a room of that mansion seeing the cult being performed on the woman. Blood was shredded all over her body and there were various signs made on her body. That was the most horrific night faced by them. After Sunrise, these three ran from that particular area and never entered anywhere near that street or building. After a year, it was reported in a newspaper that the building was demolished and they found a secret mansion below the building used for black magic purposes.

Reading that news Andrew got reminded of Alan pulling him inside grabbing his shirt. He asked the reason, and Alan replied that he saw something or someone behind him, skinny and dark, staring continuously at him and suddenly turned his head towards Alan after looking for a while at Andrew. Andrew laughed at it and later the same thing was said by Rhody as he also pulled Alan after seeing the same thing. This event reminded the cult and there was silence as the horror could not escape their mind.

As an advise, please be careful before moving to any place and at least collect some information before heading into it.
